This week, The Daily News is all about what’s sweet: sugar, honey, candy, chocolate and everything that reminds us of the sweeter side of life. Stay tuned for great favour ideas, beautiful head pieces that use crystal for just the right hit of sparkle, a chocolate factory tour, and of course, the most modern ways to sweeten up your guests after dinner.
First off, a few behind the scene snaps I took during the set up for The 30-Day Bride’s wedding.

Fiona and Joanne (Stemz) breeze in behind the pale pink and claret red cake that perfectly matched their French-inspired theme

Fiona drying flowers before putting them on tables

Setting up the bar inside Graydon Hall

Lilac trees for the ceremony site were put out of the way inside before the decision was made about where the ceremony would be held - rain threatened all day but Cachelle really wanted to be married outside.

Jackson Huang shot Fiona and her team during the set up - she was moving at the speed of light!

The bouquets and boutonniers

A pile of vibrant paper lanterns waiting to be suspended from the tent ceiling

Setting up the chapel for the indoor ceremony

The inside of Graydon was going to be used for cocktails and dancing - the red feather boas, red candles and gorgeous red candle holders and red rose petal were all used to make this space a sexy explosion of colour and a contrast to the sweet, soft feel of the pinks outside.
