30-Day Bride – Off to California

The 30-Day Bride is Karina Lemke, a Toronto-based florist, wedding planner and TV host who decided on May 13 to tie the knot on July 1. For 30 consecutive days we’re tracking Karina and her fiancé, Mark Breslin (of Yuk Yuk’s fame), as they reveal their trials and tribulations. We’ll have all the juicy details leading up to, and including, their big day.

Sunday marks the big departure day for our ‘30-day bride’ Karina and her soon-to-be hubby Mark. It’s been an interesting couple of weeks filled with long-distance phone calls, seemingly endless emails, invitation upsets, dress fittings, décor decisions, a trip to Scotland and stepping on each others’ toes — literally — while attempting to learn the waltz.

Not only have Karina and Mark been busy planning their wedding, they’ve had to work as well. Karina has been up ’til midnight shooting episodes of Rich Bride, Poor Bride, and she’s also been pulling together a client wedding that takes place this weekend. Mark has travelled to Vancouver and he’s dealing with the temporary shutdown of Yuk Yuk’s because of the G20 Summit Meeting in Toronto this weekend.

We are hoping that things slow down for the couple over the next few weeks so that they can be at least slightly relaxed in time for their big day. We’re excited to bring you all of the details from sunny California, so stay tuned!
