Here it is, The Crane Chandelier Project.
It has been an amazing two-year journey and we are thrilled with the final installation! Our final count was 14,523.The chandelier is made up of 10,000 of the over 14, 000 cranes we received from couple all across North America.

The goal was to collect 10,000 origami cranes signed by newly engaged couples by January 2011, when The Wedding Co. celebrates its 10th anniversary. The final creation was a visual representation of a worldwide community of engaged and newly married couples — a community that already shares so many invisible ties. Each crane represents one couple’s leap of love, commitment and patience.
Thank-you to all those who made, signed and mailed in cranes.Thank-you to Tammi, Adelaide, Maddie, Stephan and Angel for helping string the cranes and Andre and Peter for building the structure and making sure it was secure.
The Wedding Co. is proud to be making a 50 cent donation for each crane in the chandelier to The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation to help fight cancer.
Here is a look back at the project.

We are finally sending our paper cranes; we were married in March and the cranes decorated the reception. They are each labeled with our names and the Japanese character for love with the Spanish word for love, Amore. These are given in memory of Amy’s grandmother, who died from lung cancer 5 years ago. Thank you so much for your wonderful project!
Hi Amy and Tino,
Can’t wait to receive the cranes, thank-you! We would love to see pictures!
You can send them to info@theweddingco.com
