Royal couple William and Kate are not the only ones celebrating their marriage in a castle this season.
John McLaren and Krista Veryzer were married March 2, 2011, at the Dalhousie Castle in Edinburgh, Scotland. John’s father came to Canada from Scotland when he was a child and eventually instilled in his own children a strong pride in his heritage.
Hoping for a small and intimate affair, John and Krista decided to combine their first visit to Scotland with their wedding. They not only had their ceremony at the castle but also hosted a five-course dinner — prepared by a French chef — in the dungeon. How cool is that?
