Here’s their story:
The theatre is an integral part of our life together — on our first date we went to see a show. We wanted to get married in an intimate theatre setting, so we said our vows in the Mazzoleni Hall at the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Before the ceremony, we performed our version of the show Inside the Actors Studio. Our hilarious friend Robert interviewed us, while a montage of photos played in the background. Our musical theatre friends, David and Adam, sang favourite songs by Queen, Deniece Williams and from the musical Rent. The pre-ceremony allowed our 200 guests to better understand who we are and why we got married. We even had a costume change! We changed from casual, talk-show outfits into tuxedos before getting hitched.
The reception at the Carlu was sophisticated and classic. Cocktails took place in the Sky Room, amid candlelight and a jazz trio. For dinner, the Round Room was filled with white orchids, calla lilies and hydrangeas, with floating candles. Our friend Miranda choreographed an upbeat first dance to “Canned Heat” by Jamiroquai. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day for us. Story by: Trish Snyder
