Restaurant weddings are definitely becoming a trend but when Alex Neary of Wild Eyed Photography sent us this one we got very excited. It’s our first pizzeria wedding!
For Jessie and Sean Queen Margherita Pizza was the perfect spot to host their unique, urban wedding. They wanted a casual feeling to their celebration and the pizzeria that they had dined at before seemed the perfect place to tie the knot. When they asked owner John Chetti, he loved the idea and was up for a challenge.
Not only was Jessie and Sean’s venue urban and unique, their mode of transportation definitely went with the theme. They hired an old trolley to take them and their immediate family from One King West across town to the pizzeria.
After a beautiful ceremony the couple and their guests feasted on pizza, oysters, prosciutto and smoked salmon. Dinner included dishes such as Italian grilled cheese, lamb chops, chicken spiedini, lamb spiedini, mini lasagne and crab cakes.
And to end the evening a complete porchetta came out at midnight with crusty buns and caramelized onions! Yummm.
