20’s and 30’s Style Wedding
Michelle Belsky from Magnolia Studios describes Alison and Jason’s beautiful wedding.
“Pop, Clink, Fizz! Alison and Jason’s Great Gatsby style vineyard wedding pulled inspiration from the 20’s and 30’s while infusing very modern touches throughout. The brass band provided old timey music to set the mood and suited the overall visual style of the wedding as well. Gold, dark pinks and deep berry colours provided the main colour scheme and the colourful florals were set against all gold tables and chairs giving a very rich look throughout the wedding.
The bride wore a custom backless wedding dress with beautiful, elaborate, long tasseled beading along the back and tasseled capped sleeves – definitely a very unique wedding dress! The bride also wore a long necklace down her back and bohemian style slave chain studded bracelets. The flower bouquet cascaded down towards the ground and the bridesmaids wore gold tasseled flapper dresses.
The ceremony programs were made to look like old newspapers announcing the couples wedding. The elegant yet rustic florals provided pops of colour against the gold details, chairs and outdoor ceremony gates. The tall white pillars of the venue provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony as well as the wedding party photos.
The creative wedding cake was decorated with gold geometric shapes across a grey base colour, with gold sequence and pearl accents. The 20’s and 30’s theme was tied together with many antique details including a gramophone, crocket set and antique car.”
