The Wedding Co. is the product of owner and creative director, Catherine Lash's dream to promote valuable connections between brides and members of Toronto’s exceptional event industry. At almost 8 years old, it is now a company comprised of multiple components that work seamlessly together to provide industry members with immediate and effective exposure to their target market and to each other. The company’s events, news service and marketplace are connected through the company’s website, which means it provides easy access to valuable information for today’s busy bride.
Catherine’s background
Catherine spent ten years as a wedding photographer in Toronto. During that time she continually made contacts in the industry through whom she explored the world of weddings and discovered her obsession with all things bridal. Continually introducing her contacts to one another, Catherine recognized that lack of connection and marketing within her community that relied so heavily on word of mouth. She envisioned a place for young visionaries and established professionals alike to present their work to their target market of selective, stylish and well researched newly engaged while also connecting with each other, sharing ideas.
