More Wedding Cakes, Flowers and Invitations

Yesterday we featured wedding cakes, flowers and invitations inspired by the words, Sweet, Traditional and Elegant. Today we bring you Traditional, and Flirty, with designs created by some of Toronto’s top wedding suppliers.

Picking a word is a great way to start planning your wedding. The descriptive word will guide you to the right venue, the appropriate attire, and of course your cake, flowers and invitations.

Wedding Cakes, Flowers, and Invitations

Choosing a look for your big day can simplify planning tremendously — guiding everything from the menu to the centrepieces — but deciding on the right one isn’t easy. So we asked local wedding professionals for a little help.

For The Wedding Co. Magazine, we whispered a single word into the ear of 15 of Toronto’s top designers of cakes, invitations and flowers, and flashed them a colour palette for inspiration. Their task? To interpret the two elements and create an original design that reflects their own style.

When we grouped the stunning stand-alone creations together, every one made a beautiful and powerful statement. We hope you find an idea you love and can use as a springboard for creating the look and feel of your celebration.

Here are three groups, tune in tomorrow for two more.

The Wedding Co. Spring Show Highlights

Last Saturday, with the Drake Hotel, we hosted our 4th annual The Wedding Co. Spring Show.

From 10am-4pm, we welcomed newly engaged couples and the industry to meet 40 exceptionally talented and innovative wedding suppliers who showcased their designs and services.

The show had everything, from the electric bus to sweet snow cones, with planners giving away DIY garlands and fashion forward accessories – the brides swooned. There were emerald cakes, laser-cut place cards, and videos making mothers tear up.

Thank-you to everyone who attended, to the wonderful group of exhibitors, to TWC staff, and of course, to our loyal sponsors, the Drake Hotel and Event Rental Group.

Click to see the list of exhibitors from this year’s spring show, or, please review their full profiles on The Co.’s “The List” – a curated group of exceptional Toronto talent.
