Every year around Valentine’s Day I make a point of visiting the Love & Rummage Show at the Workroom, always finding inspiring people doing wonderfully crafted items that can be used for weddings. This year was no different.
I heard that Jamie Maddalena, a Toronto wedding photographer, would be there with her new venture, Send More Mail. Jamie has packaged vintage stamps in bundles that add up 59 cents, the cost of mailing a standard size in letter Canada. Once stuck onto the envelope they create a unique salon-style art exhibit on each envelope.
Send a bouquet to your sweetheart or décor you wedding with beautiful arrangements by Alison Westlake, a florist with a love of mixing the old and the new. Stay tuned for an interview with Alison and a tour of Coriander Girl – her adorable store on Queen West. Coriander Girl- 1537 Queen Street West, Toronto.
Bookhou was also at the Love & Rummage sale with some great ides for Valentine’s Day: heart tags and cards; printed tea towels; and embroidered buttons. My favorite find was their heart gift bag containing a je t’aime tea towel, and two heart shaped cookies all in a reusable gift bag. Customized with the theme of your wedding these gift bags make fantastic favours.
