Crane Couple – Catalina and Stephen
Stephanie Gareri is The Wedding Co.’s project coordinator for The Chandelier of Cranes and is scouring the globe for newly engaged couples to participate by signing their names, wedding date and location to an origami crane.
These days, my radar is high as I search for engaged couples to sign cranes for the Chandelier of Cranes Project. While out this weekend in the Distillery District, I had the pleasure of listening to Catalina and Stephen recall the story of when they first met. It was through a mutual friend (a.k.a. Cupid) at a Frosh-week party during first year at York University. At the time, both were involved in other relationships. A few years later, at Cupid’s birthday party, fate brought them together again. Stephen invited Catalina to join him for a drink; she accepted and the rest is history. They have been together for 3 years since. Stephen proposed to Catalina this Christmas, and they are getting married in Toronto on August 22, 2009.
Catalina and Stephen signed a crane with their information as well as included some words of endearment to each other. Remember you can mail us your signed crane or request a pre-made crane kit !
Thanks Catalina & Stephen – wishing you much happiness and love in your journey together!
