Editorial Submissions & Policy

Have you considered submitting your wedding or your work or your wedding industry news to our daily blog? Perhaps you should!

We LOVE to see:

Real Weddings

  • Professional Achievements: awards, recognition, etc.
  • Industry Announcements: openings, events, sales, etc.
  • Etiquette and Advice questions
  • Wedding-related products and services

Every submission will be considered individually for relevancy, timeliness and the current blog schedule, and they must adhere to our editorial policy (below).

SUBMISSIONS

  • Please send submissions to: info[at]theweddingco.com
  • Include “Editorial Submission:” in the subject line of the email
  • Attached images must be web ready or 72 dpi (low-resolution)
  • We will not accept watermarked images but a credit will be given to the individual/company who submitted the work and on a case by case basis to other involved professionals

The Wedding Co. Magazine Real Wedding Submissions

Submissions must be made by professional wedding photographers.

The Wedding Co. Blog Submissions

All submissions should be sent to Catherine at: catherine[at]theweddingco.com

For real wedding or engagement shoot submission please include:

  1. Full name of the couple along with their wedding date and location.
  2. Ten to 50 photos. Photos must be at least 550 pixels wide. Photos with watermarks will not be accepted.
  3. A short description of the event, including at least one aspect that makes this event unique.
  4. A detailed list of all the vendors involved.
  5. Please only submit unpublished stories.

For video submissions please include:

  1. Full name of the couple along with their wedding date and location.
  2. A video link and embedding code. Code must be customized to 550 pixels wide.
  3. A short description of the event.
  4. A detailed list of all the vendors involved.

For product submissions please include:

  1. Your full name and company name, as well as the city in which you are located.
  2. How long you have been in business.
  3. A description of your product or service.
  4. Two to 10 photos of your product. Photos must be at least 550 pixels wide. Photos with watermarks will not be accepted.

EDITORIAL POLICY

Blog subjects are selected by The Wedding Co.

Note: The Wedding Co. has the right to edit all photographs.

No one can pay to be featured on The Wedding Co. Blog. That’s what advertising is for, and it’s always labeled as such. Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy our legitimacy and integrity. Plus, we’d never earn your trust that way. So we’ll never make a dime off your venue rental, nor a penny from the sale of the latest gown we told you about. We’ll also tell you when we’ve received a free product or service for us to try out ourselves.

That said, on occasion, we send out, and post “Sponsored” e-mails on behalf of advertisers. You’ll recognize them from the subject line of the email or the title of the post on the blog, which will always clearly state they have been sponsored – in other words, they have been paid for.
