Enchanted Vintage Garden Inspiration
Jennifer from Tufts & Toile describes this creative collaboration:
“I had the privilege of bringing together an incredibly talented team of wedding professional friends to help me turn a beautiful vision into this breathtaking reality.
The original inspiration behind this shoot came from the charming, yet simplistic idea of using glass domes as the main décor element to be found throughout, to give the shoot an enchanted feel, just like the mysterious rose from Beauty and the Beast. The use of moss and succulents in the domes for the centerpiece at the sweetheart table and the bright coloured hand-crafted miniature pies covered in glass at the pie station where some of the perfect ways we were able to delightfully showcase these glass beauties.
We aimed to shoot early evening on the day of the shoot, so we could catch the dusk and twilight lighting. We were blessed with perfect weather and a very rich golden hour as the sun slowly set over Lake Ontario. We had a great view of this with the uninterrupted views at our lakefront location in Stoney Creek. Through this lighting we were able to achieve an ambiance that was magical and airy, yet moody and mysterious, depending on where we shot on the property. This mood was evidently present in our saturated palette of deep, rich tones, including antiqued golds, plums and cranberry. The vintage inspired bridal gowns and jewelry were the perfect pieces to compliment our vintage vignettes and the old world inspired garden location with its cobblestone pathways, tall evergreen hedges and stone column structures.”
