Engagement Shoot Caught On Film

I love Michelle and Jonathan’s engagement shoot by wedding photographer Heidi Lau.

There is a quality to these photos I haven’t seen in a long time so I asked Heidi if they were shot on film and if so why…here is her answer.

“I’m incorporating film more into my work because I love the quality and colours that you get from shooting film that you don’t get with digital. It also makes me a better photographer because I get to slow down and really think about each shot I take. And because I’m slowing down it allows me more time to connect with my subjects, which in the end produces more meaningful images.”
