Historic Country Club Inspiration Shoot

Celebrating at the historic St. George Golf and Country Club.

Phoebe Lo describes the inspiration behind this beautiful wedding inspiration shoot.

“We celebrate this historic golf club wedding in the beautiful St. George Golf and Country Club. The formal dining hall is transformed with a rustic design that features an organic style, fresh centerpiece accentuating the deep mahogany harvest table. This rustic display is presented with details and accents in the colour theme of ivory, grey and blue.

Directly atop the tablescape hangs a historical chandelier decorated with fresh ferns and foliage. Tabletop settings feature vibrant sea blue glassware pieces showcased amidst a soft ensemble of traditional silverware provided by William Ashley Fine China . Accenting the delicate glassware are handcrafted tapered candles by Fenwick Candles , each created in an eco-friendly fashion from coconut wax. Place cards in French grey feature handwritten calligraphy by Velsie Mak. Flower arrangements designed by Inspired Event Rental and Design play with the tabletop elements to decorate and complete the picturesque dining room.

The three tiered cake provided by Sinfully Sweet Co. was ornately positioned by the spiral stairwell. Its simplicity showcases the luxurious architectural details of the building against with the organic and soft hues of the cake topping with locally sourced eucalyptus & ranunculus blooms.

The wedding couple featured a classic style wedding gown and formal suit, resonating with the event colour palette of ivory blue and silver. The clean and structured navy suit donned by the groom responds to the formal and majestic elements of the room, whereas the bride, donning a soft and long gown, playfully converses with the soft elegant touches of the event design. The suits were provided by Wingmen Suits and gowns by Ferre Sposa .

The outdoor atmosphere speaks to a timeless landscape, with a very playful rendition of a historical era, as depicted by the exterior architectural details and scenery of the venue. The second set of outfits showcases the elegance of a simple, but gown, paired with an equally sophisticated light pepper grey suit. The combination of large window panels, cast iron doors, and exposed brick set the scene as the bride and groom enjoy a fanciful affair with nodes of rustic yet historical celebration. Displaying unsurpassed elegance, the bride is decorated with accessories by LUVYT and a hand tied bouquet with vintage linen ribbon by Inspire Event Rental and Design, and the groom a custom made tie by TYTAN . The hair styling was created by Puzzle Creations and the makeup design by Velsie Mak .”
