“Our Spring style shoot was titled Le Soir which was inspired by art nouveau pioneer Alphonse Mucha. We wanted the lines of the models and bridal gowns to echo the art and iconic style of french art nouveau’s organic lines and textures, while keeping a clean sophisticated modern take on bridal style. The Berkeley Bicycle club provided us with a truly unique backdrop for our images.
The original home of Toronto’s Gooderham family, famous for creating Toronto’s Historic Distillery district and the Gooderham and Worts Distillery. Originally built in the 1890’s the mansion is full of organic textures and one of a kind hand made design elements. The two bridal gowns generously provided by Sash & Bustle on Queen Street, designed by Daalarna Couture and Karen Willis Holmes helped create a feeling of timeless elegance with a hint of modernism. The floral arrangements generously provided by Hello Midge Flowers created the lush garden that framed our models. The images inspire the modern bride as well as showcase one of Toronto’s most fabulous, historic and intimate venues.”
