Ontario Country Luxury Styled Shoot
I can’t begin to tell you how excited we are to share this style shoot conceptualized by new Wedding Co. member, Johanna Sharpe of Johanna Leigh Weddings & Events!
Johanna describes how she magically transformed the landscape into a luxurious setting to inspire brides to head to the country and shop local.
“This visual story was developed to inspire a country bride dreaming of their perfect Canadian wedding, one who embodies love for the country and is looking to incorporate a luxurious style into the overall look and feel to their day. This shoot was directed to capture movements and unposed moments with our bride and Heather Prosser Photography delivered this style.”
The venue is a dream for a country loving bride. Dreamcrest Manor is located in Port Perry, Ontario. “This 100-acre horse farm was specifically chosen for this shoot as it’s grounds are meticulous and is suitable for a large tented wedding.” The beautifully decorated Manor can accommodate a large party for a weekend – “the bride can wake up in the morning to peaceful country noise and galloping horses. It truly is a hidden gem here in Durham Ontario.”
Not a detail was missed. “We incorporated many Canadian elements into this shoot. The horseshoes were those of Ontario bred horses and refurbished to add as a delicate horse themed touch to the shoot. Not only used as seating assignments, but also as a delightful take home memory for guests. The bridal gown is designed by Paloma Blanca and is 100% Canadian. Our cakes and sweets were baked locally in Brooklin, Ontario, and it doesn’t stop there. Hurricane Irma created a large floral shortage over the time of this styled shoot. Many of the florals used in this shoot were sourced locally, hand picked and grown in Ontario.”
A special thanks to the contributing suppliers. “We had a very talented group of individuals on this shoot, specifically chosen for this shoot due to their talent and overall creative eye. Each one delivered with one vision in mind, teamwork and perfection. The flexibility and respect our suppliers have for one another is next to no other. It is imperative to have a team who is on the same page and can visualize results.”
