The Broadview Hotel

An east end approach to weddings.

Meet the events team from The Broadview Hotel at The Wedding Co. Market and start planning your urban, east end wedding!

We asked marking director, Erin Connor a few questions about this recently restored Toronto wedding venue…
…here is what she told us.

1. Describe the hotel.
Located in the heart of Riverside at the corner of Queen St. E. and Broadview Ave., The Broadview Hotel is a 58 room boutique hotel, The Civic restaurant, lobby Café + Bar and Rooftop restaurant and bar. The Romanesque Revival-style building constructed in 1891 is a heritage property, as designated by the City of Toronto. Cleverly reimagined as a charismatic gathering spot, each space is infused with the spirit of the east end: it’s a place where international travellers relax alongside local residents. Drawing from The Broadview’s iconic façade, visitors and community members will enjoy a uniquely crafted hospitality experience.

2. What are the different rooms available and the capacity?

Lincoln Hall & Terrace

Over 3,000 square feet of characterful venue space plus 1,000 square feet of outdoor terrace space. The exposed brickwork and steel beam construction serve as a memorable backdrop, offering both indoor and outdoor access.

The Rooftop

Situated proudly atop the 7th floor with big, unobstructed views of the Toronto skyline and the Don River, this dynamic space offers a remarkable, one of a kind location for a private event. With a 360° glass, pyramidal skylight, and expansive indoor/outdoor rooftop terrace, this setting is unforgettable both day and night.

The Civic

An unexpected refresh of our culinary past. The cuisine is derived from historical menus, executed with a contemporary twist. The graceful restaurant setting is redolent of the building’s architectural pedigree, courtesy of the original brick facade, factory glass windows, a stained wood bar, and a statuesque wine cellar featuring a robust selection of extraordinary wines.

~ Capacity 100 ppl – Seated meal

The Tower

The crown of Riverside’s architectural showpiece set prominently on the 7th floor rooftop. With its extraordinary vaulted ceiling, warm wood tones and historic windows. Can be booked for intimate ceremonies, or receptions of up to 20ppl.

Capacity – 20ppl – seated meal, cocktail reception or ceremony

3. What are the special features at the Broadview Hotel couples can take advantage of?

~ 58 boutique guestrooms onsite all have been designed blending classic elements with unexpected eclectic accents to create a thoroughly modern approach to luxury. They are refreshingly spacious and some feature outdoor terraces for lounging and relaxing, as well as urban views looking out over the bustle of Queen Street East or Broadview Avenue. Rooms on the hotel’s north façade look peacefully over Riverdale and up the Don Valley River.
~ Couples receive complimentary stay the night of their wedding
~ Special guest room rates available
~ 3 onsite restaurants, providing space to host next-day brunch, rehearsal dinner and all other wedding festivities.
~ Onsite photography permitted– take advantage of that rooftop skyline shot!
~ We have a handpicked list of top-notch vendors that we work with that are able to offer our couples tailored service to suit their desires.

4. What should couples expect when they meet you at the show?

~ To be introduced to a new venue, with a variety of spaces that all off something unique; we’re taking a modern, east end approach to weddings!
~ They can expect to meet an events team that is excited to help each couple create a wedding that is personalized to them.
