When we found this wedding on Style Me Pretty and from Mulberry Photography, we just had to share it with you, especially in light of our honey week!
The birds and the bees theme was an idea this bride’s mum had when the couple were first together – kind of an inside joke about their professions – she an entomologist and he an ornithologist. When it came time to put a wedding together, the idea became a working theme (with the addition of a few punk rock elements!), and Emily (the lovely bride) told Style Me Pretty that she and her fiancé, Scott, wanted a nature-themed wedding and found that the idea was still perfect six and a half years later! … “We even named our tables by local birds and bees names.”
Our favourite shot is of the sleeping bumblebee… enjoy!

Here are some interesting tidbits from the wedding…
Bride’s Bouquet: dahlias, roses, sweet peas, raspberries, herbs, bees
Bridesmaids’ Bouquets: chocolate cosmos, dahlias, sweet peas, raspberries, herbs
Groom’s Boutonniere: berries, leaves, and dahlia
Groomsmen’s Boutonnieres: dahlia, leaves, and berry
Bird Kites (which had already been used at the Olympics!) were used for a wedding march and strings of birds and bees hung down from the trees as part of the outdoor decor.
