Wedding Reception At The Lumina Resort

Lucy Myers, of Lucy Myers Events, shares Lindsay and Andrew’s lakeside wedding.

Bride Lindsay shares some of her thoughts…

The Dress: “I loved the dress because it had the perfect amount of fullness to the skirt, but was also not as big as a full ballgown. I really wanted to have some lace on the dress and the bodice had a wonderful lace pattern. The skirt was amazing and flowy and I think really suited the outdoor cottage theme of the wedding.”

The Florals: “The purple shades in the bouquets were exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t really know what to expect for the florals, but I trusted in Lucy’s design and the bouquets were better than I could have ever imagined. All of the wedding guests gave so many wonderful comments on them. The florals around the arch and on the tables were beautiful, I wish I could have kept all of them!”

The Decor: “I loved the colours they incorporated everywhere. It was a perfect blend of the purple and the orange of the pumpkins that I really wanted. My favourite though was how they transformed the dance area in the basement of Lumina. It went from a cottage feel to something magical with beautiful trees and lights and couches, as well as large photos of Andrew and I on the walls.”

Advice for future brides: “Get a wedding planner! We would have never been able to pull off that caliber of wedding without Lucy Myers events.”
