Q & A with Ashley Stewart of Prince Edward County
Who or what inspired you to start your business?
Prince Edward County is bursting with winemakers, brew masters, artisans, musicians, inn keepers, farmers and culinary artists. Because we are home to a variety of wedding vendors, places and spaces, it was natural for Prince Edward County to be an ideal wedding destination.
What do you love about weddings?
We love celebrating love! The love couples have for each other, their family, friends, community and the land we live on. We also love when couples choose and source vendors native to their destination, supporting the local community.
How would you describe your style?
Prince Edward County’s style is eclectic and seasonally inspired. Our wedding venues and vendors range with styles from natural, modern, minimal, rustic to romantic.
What sets you apart from everyone else?
Only in Prince Edward County can a couple choose to have their wedding on the water, at a winery among grape vines, a rustic/boho barn party or have an intimate party on a private property. Couples can plan their entire wedding locally. Vendors on offer include renovated but rustic barns, backyard brews, small batch wine, farm fresh food, mobile food and cocktail trucks, sustainably grown flowers, contemporary ceramics, carefully crafted wedding favours, talented photographers, soulful musicians, hair and make-up artisans, custom cakes and so much more.
Do you have any interesting facts that we can share?
