All about me, Catherine Lash.

I have no fancy title because it's impossible to define all that I do in a few words.

My passion for weddings came when I was a freelance editorial photographer and one day said yes to shooting a wedding. When the bride opened the door, threw her arms around me and said “I'm so glad your here to capture this day” I was hooked.

After 10 years photographing weddings I realized how important my wedding community was to me and so I ended my career and a photographer and began creating opportunities for us to gather and support each other.

Fast forward to today, The Wedding Co. is a value driven company based on community, creativity, courage and commitment.

The Wedding Co. stages the annual The Wedding Co. Market in February, maintains The Wedding Co. website & social media as well as hosts business seminars and social gatherings for it’s members.

On a personal note, I am married to a very special man, Stephen Bulger, and have two smart, engaging and always inspiring children, Adelaide and Jane. We have one dog, Toshi and two cats Polaroid and Dopey.

Our paradise is a small cottage in Cobourg and my dream is to be the innkeeper of The Good Morning House.

Jenny Serwylo ~ The Wedding Co. Market Manager

Hi, I'm Jenny!

As Show Manager of the 2020 Market, I take care of all the little details to make sure our members get to shine on Market day, and I even have a hand in designing the look, feel, and overall guest experience of the Market. I can't wait to show you what's in store for February!

When I'm not doing that, I help cool fun people throw cool fun shindigs with my own planning company, Three Lights Events. I'm an avid traveller (favourite country: India), an avid cat lover (favourite pet: Lola), and am determined to shine light on devilled eggs being the best potluck dish out there (I have three vintage devilled egg trays and am always hunting for more).

Though I used to be an actor and comedian, my real claim to fame is that a raccoon broke in to my apartment last year and hid behind my toaster while eating my bread. It went viral in Russia, which I think is all I could ever hope for with a theatre degree.

Krystal D’Souza ~ Social media Manager

Hi everyone, I'm Krystal D'Souza

I help Catherine with The Wedding Co's Instagram and Facebook page.

If you've ever sent us a DM or private message, you were more than likely talking to me!

Last year, I decided to quit the 9-5 grind to start my own company social+. I specialize in helping small to medium-size businesses reach their full potential online!

When I'm not working (very rare), you can find me travelling to countries that don't have a winter, eating my weight in carbohydrates, or watching old re-runs of Judge Judy.
