What inspired you to start your business?

To bring back the legacy of The Great Hall with 130 years of rich history across three centuries delivering astounding experiences, achieving client’s desires and making promises a reality.

What do you love about weddings?

The Great Hall echoes of royal, grand and unique wedding moments throughout the weekends. Our weddings team curate experiences and enjoy challenges to deliver a non-traditional wedding but always one that has a spark to it.

How would you describe your style?

High Victorian charm married with modern convenience to provide and elegant, sophisticated, upscale style. Our four lovingly restored heritage venues offer old world elegance with 21st century amenities and state-of-the-art production systems.

What sets you apart from everyone else?

The Great Hall curates and customizes upscale events with four distinctive venues under one roof. Each venue reflects a unique look and feel accompanied by state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, flexibility with requests and a key focus on customizing each venue to fulfill the client’s needs.

Do you have any interesting facts we can share?

Longboat Hall venue is a long-hidden gem. It started in 1889 as a gymnasium when The Great Hall was the West End YMCA. Named for famed First Nations marathoner Tom Longboat who trained here in the early 20th century, it features an original running track as a stunning 360 degree balcony. There is no space in the city quite like it.
